Jacob C. Elberg focuses his practice on Corporate Real Estate and Government Relations. He represents large global companies in the leasing and subleasing of office spaces both in the U.S. and internationally. Additionally, Mr. Elberg works with the City Attorney for North Miami Beach, the Town Attorney for Bay Harbor Islands, and the Village Attorney for El Portal.
Previously, he represented some of the nation’s largest lenders in financial institution litigation, including mortgage foreclosure and loss mitigation. Mr. Elberg also worked with the Interim City Attorney for the City of Doral, drafted and negotiated commercial leases for franchisee business owners, and assisted with probating Florida timeshares.
Before joining Greenspoon Marder, he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Joseph P. Oxley, P.J.Cv., and the Honorable Lourdes Lucas, J.S.C. in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. In this role, Mr. Elberg wrote judicial opinions and bench memoranda and was a certified mediator, assisting parties in resolving small claims disputes.
He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. During law school, Mr. Elberg was a judicial intern for The Honorable Freda L. Wolfson, Chief Judge, at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He also holds a Bachelor of General Studies in Communications with a minor in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
