Jeffrey Gilbert is a partner in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP. As an experienced litigator, Mr. Gilbert represents clients in a wide range of business and financial disputes. Drawing on nearly 40 years of experience, Mr. Gilbert represents Fortune 500 companies and international businesses in an array of litigation, ranging from shareholder and partnership disputes to bet-the-company lawsuits and material contract breaches. He also represents developers, real estate lenders, financial institutions, REITs, special servicers, and receivers in property, real estate, financial, and construction disputes. Mr. Gilbert, on behalf of nationwide lenders and servicers, has foreclosed mortgage and U.C.C. personalty liens on highly visible properties throughout Florida, including resort hotels, golf course developments, and prominent office buildings. He litigates significant commercial tenancy cases on behalf of owners and landlords.
Mr. Gilbert also defends civil and criminal usury and lender liability claims and counterclaims, litigating probate, estate, trust, and fiduciary cases, and land use and zoning disputes. In addition, he represents electronics and cellular clients, as well as other retail businesses, including prosecuting and defending claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Mr. Gilbert also handles mediations and national and international arbitrations.
