John T. Ankner is senior counsel in the Real Estate practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP, representing commercial clients on commercial transactions and leasing with experience representing both sides of purchase and sale transactions. Mr. Ankner works with numerous clients on the purchases and sales of commercial properties from the drafting and negotiating of purchase and sale agreements through closing. This includes reviewing title commitments, relevant due diligence materials, and property surveys.
Additionally, Mr. Ankner works with lenders on behalf of purchasers to review commercial loan documents and negotiates revisions to those documents where possible to benefit clients. Further, Mr. Ankner has experience in transactions involving the purchase, sale, and planned development of vacant land. He is knowledgeable on aspects of real estate law involving commercial leasing, including drafting, and reviewing commercial leases, amendment of commercial leases, and, when necessary, enforcement of lease terms on both the landlord-side and tenant-side.
Mr. Ankner graduated from Barry University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree with honors. He previously graduated, with honors as well, from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
In his free time, Mr. Ankner enjoys attending football games at UCF (Go Knights!), listening to live music at various venues in and around the Winter Garden area, and spending time with friends and family.
