Greenspoon Marder Partner Elizabeth Somerstein Secures Approval for Redevelopment of Iconic Signature Grand Property in Davie, Florida

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – October 28, 2024 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that the Land Use and Zoning team and partner Elizabeth Somerstein have successfully secured approval for the redevelopment of the well-known 27-year-old Signature Grand event hall in Davie, Fla., on behalf of the client, Altman Logistics Properties (BBX Capital).

The 11.3-acre site will be redeveloped with an 182,000-square-foot warehouse and logistics facility.

“This project represents a transformative step towards creating a modern industrial hub that meets the needs of today’s logistics demands,” said Ms. Somerstein.

Ms. Somerstein concentrates her practice on representing real estate developers, property owners, and national corporations in all aspects of the regulatory process involving complex land use and zoning matters. Her legal experience involves the processing of approvals required for the development of land, including amendments to comprehensive plans, zoning changes, platting, site planning, variances, vacation of easements and roadway rights-of-way, and municipal annexations of land.
