Greenspoon Marder Partner Robert Rando Featured Speaker At New York Intellectual Property Law Association Patent Trial And Appeals Board Committee CLE Program

New York, N.Y. – February 24, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder partner Robert Rando will be a featured speaker at the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) Patent Trial and Appeals Board Committee CLE program titled “Scope of IPR Estoppel After California Institute v. Broadcom.” The discussion will take place on Tuesday, March 8^th, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. ET. Mr. Rando and his fellow panelists will explore the scope of IPR estoppel in view of California Institute of Technology v. Broadcom Ltd. (Fed. Cir. Feb. 4, 2022).

The NYIPLA Patent Trial and Appeals Board Committee offers insightful leadership in legislation, rules, and litigation relating to post-issuance proceedings. The committee also provides interactive lectures and information on the latest industry trends and practices.

Mr. Rando practices in the areas of complex commercial, patent and other IP litigation. With over three decades of experience, he has handled a wide range of technology matters, including computer hardware/software, biotechnology products, medical devices, silicon chip manufacturing, chemical compounds, food additives, pharmaceuticals, communications, alternative energy products, consumer electronics, security, internet, and e-commerce. He is a published author and frequent lecturer at law schools and other organizations. A skilled trial lawyer and legal scholar, he has filed Amicus briefs in most of the high-profile patent and other IP cases before the U.S. Supreme Court in the past 15 years. He has also served as a Special Master in numerous complex patent law cases.
